The venues along the eastern shore of Dianchi Lake can be reached by bus, metro, and shuttle services. Public transport services will be increased during the holiday, while vehicle controls will be in place in some villages. To reach the Danxia Opening-and-Closing Floating Bridge area, visitors can take Metro Line 5 to Daba Station or Yinghailu Station, then transfer to connecting transport.

Daguan Park, Yunnan Ethnic Village, Haiyan Village, and other attractions are located across the city center and along the lakeside, giving visitors a choice of itineraries, from exploring the city and relaxing by the lake to enjoying a rural getaway. Kunming is also offering consumer vouchers to residents and visitors, which can be claimed both online and at participating locations.
