China's Kunming and Colombia's Armenia become sister cities

Kunming City in SW China's Yunnan Province signed a sister-city agreement with Armenia City in the Republic of Colombia at a video signing ceremony on Mar. 30.
Rich in coffee, with excellent football training resources, unique in education, Armenia City is an important city in central and western Colombia and also a famous tourist attraction. The similar development background of agriculture and sports provide a solid foundation for deeper exchanges and cooperation between Kunming and Armenia.
According to the agreement, the two cites will further strengthen cooperation in education, sports, agriculture, economy and trade, culture and tourism. In-depth discussions concerning areas of intentional cooperation will be held through the exchange and the regular contact between the government delegation of both sides. The governments of the two cities will also designate a representative organization to maintain close and regular contact.
