SCO Kunming Marathon 2021 kicked off

On the morning of December 12, the SCO Kunming Marathon kicked off at the Dianchi Caohai Dam in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. As many as 500 runners took part in the race.

Inaugurated in 2016, the SCO Kunming Marathon has become one of the events that many runners must participate in every December. Due to the epidemic, this year’s marathon is being held in the form of a combination of online running and small-scale offline running. Registration was started from December 1, 2021 and continued until December 30, 2021, while the race officially began from December 12, 2021.

So far, more than 140,000 people have signed up for the online race, which includes three racecourses: a marathon, a half-marathon and a public health run. Runners are supposed to use the Codoon App to complete the courses within the specified time and upload the results. They can run offline in parks, playgrounds, fitness trails and other venues.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the SCO, the organizing committee will select 20,000 runners and give away commemorative medals and towels from the SCO Kunming Marathon 2021.
