Here's your practical guide to visiting the filming locations and stepping directly into the enchanting scenes you saw on screen.

Xishan: The Best Vantage Point over Dianchi Lake

Dragon Gate Grottoes Viewing Platform: This is the second viewing platform encountered after entering the Dragon Gate Grottoes. Visit between 7:00–9:00 AM or after 4:00 PM. Willow-Shaded Stone Platform on the East Bank: The light beneath the willows in the afternoon is soft and even—ideal for capturing serene moments of rest or reading. Bushao Mountain Stone Forest Maze: In the narrow passage just before the "Extremely Narrow Path" crevice, sunlight streams through the stone pillars between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, creating a breathtaking "heavenly light" effect.

Transportation: Take the direct tourist bus from Kunming East Coach Station (approx. 34 RMB, 1.5 hours) or a high-speed train to Shilin West Station. Admission is 130 RMB, and the 25 RMB electric shuttle is highly recommended. Proposed route: Grand Stone Forest → Jianfengchi → Wangfeng Pavilion → Bushao Mountain → Small Stone Forest.
