A global survey of approximately 51,700 respondents from 15 developed countries and 31 developing countries shows a favorable international opinion on China.

The results of the 2025 Global Survey on Impression and Understanding of China, launched by the Global Times and carried out by the Global Times Institute, were published on Monday.

The survey asked foreign respondents for their views on several key concepts from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, with ideas such as "building a community with a shared future for humanity" and "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" receiving approval from nearly 80 percent of participants.

Nearly 70 percent of foreign respondents expressed a positive view of the Communist Party of China's steadfast implementation of the central Party leadership's eight-point decision on improving conduct and other concepts and practices related to full and rigorous Party self-governance, the survey showed.

More than three-fourths of foreign respondents hold an objective and positive view of China's experience in formulating and implementing five-year plans.

Survey data shows that more than 80 percent of foreign respondents gave positive evaluations of China's economic growth in 2025, and nearly 90 percent expressed confidence in its continued growth over the next decade.

Nearly 80 percent of foreign respondents recognize China's growing comprehensive national strength, while nearly 70 percent have a favorable impression of the country, according to the survey.

Around 80 percent expect China to take more actions or play a bigger role in promoting a fairer international order, mediating global and regional hotspots, and advancing economic, trade and cultural cooperation.

In the overall international public opinion, more than 70 percent express the hope that future China-U.S. relations will "tend to be eased" or "maintain status quo."

Survey data also shows that over two-thirds of foreign respondents hope that their country's relationship with China will improve in the future.
