[InKunming--Kunming] On May 19, 2019, the Kunming Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of Sciences will hold the 15th public science day of “the World of Plants”, which aims to serve the public with scientific knowledge, and make the public get closer to science.
As one of the five botany research institutes that are directly affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kunming Institute of Botany commit themselves to the exploration of the world of plants, to generating knowledge about them and developing their sustainable usage to benefit people.
The Kunming Botanical Garden is home to many rare and endangered plants, which are as valuable as pandas and alligators in animals. The visitors will get a closer look at these plants on public science day, and join hands with scientists to protect them.
All the people who want to participate in the public science day are required to register online (up to 5000 people), fill information and wait for approval. Then they can get into the garden for free and experience a series of activities on the scene.
