[InKunming--Kunming] Researchers from the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences have collected more than 3,000 individual animal fossils during the past two years in Kunming, Yunnan province.
According to Zhao Fangchen, a researcher with the institute, the fossils include more than 40 species, some of which have never been found before.
"We'll research the newfound species and the sedimentary environment as well as the combination of the animals inside the fossils," Zhao said.
