The 15th Xinshuangbanna Border Trade & Tourism Fair will be opened in Jinghong City on April 10, and last till April 17.

Linking Southwest China and Southeast Asian countries, Xishuangbanna plays an important role in the economic cooperation of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS). With favorable geographic location, diversified resources, rich ethnic cultures and beautiful tropic sceneries, the fair attracts many participants every year and has become an important platform for promoting GMS economic cooperation and facilitating the building of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone.

The event includes the following activities: border trade and tourism fair, water sprinkling, cultural exhibition, dragon boat race and folk song & dance performance.

The fair will be held during the Water Splashing Festival of the Dai People.
