Kunming, after 21 years of efforts, wins the title of “national-level clean city” in the end of this year.

The “State Hygienic City” is an integrated honorable title reflecting the overall degree of urban civilization and harmony.

Kunming has been striving for the title of “national-level clean city” since 1990.The city has made a series of efforts to improve the living environment.

“We are pleased to see the city win the supreme honor. But my question is how to keep it,” said Xu Yonggang, director of the Kunming Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.

He said that the title means a new beginning for Kunming. The city should keep clean continuously.

Besides, another 3 cities of Yunnan including Anning, Yuxi and Mangshi have also won the title. (Editor: Ryan Li)
