Yesterday, at the second session of fourth Standing Board meeting of Kunming Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, associate director of Kunming airport economic zone administration Liu Zhijun (刘志军) announced that with the work of land demolition, relocation and resettlement and construction of infrastructure drawing to a close, the construction of Kunming Airport Economic Zone was launched.
On the basis of Kunming gateway airport and centered on development of aviation economy, Liu Zhijun said, the functions of Airport Economic Zone are international passenger flow and commodity freight center which connects with southeast Asia, south Asia and Eurasia, aviation industry accumulation area of Yunnan province and aviation city of international, ecological and modern Kunming.
It is known that Kunming airport economic zone centers on Kunming new airport and the economic system supported by aviation freight, business passenger flow, information flow and capital flow will surround airport which will promote the unique economic development pattern.
The investment of Kunming Airport Economic Zone emphasis on development of aviation freight including: modern logistics service industry such as: bonded freight, distribution and storage and express dispatching etc, related service such as: transfer of cargo, distribution and storage, surveillance of bonded goods, package and information etc, providing airport, airline companies with high- quality service and pinpointing construction of aviation equipments storehouse and supporting centre of spare parts in development, promoting development of aviation food processing industry, airport service training, hotel and catering service, shopping mall and tourism. Moreover, integrating leisure tourism, constructing distinctive entertainment and shopping block through reconstruction of the ancient street and building recreation base and facilities.
When referred to the investment attracting, Liu Zhijun said policies of industry access system and supporting policies for key industries will be enforced. For those projects invested by international branded aviation airlines among world top 500, special supporting policies will be drafted according to their own demands.
