In an exclusive interview during the 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference held in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, David Ferguson, recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award and Honorary Chief English Editor of Foreign Languages Press, CICG, highlighted that while China faces disadvantages in global discourse dominated by English, it possesses two “magic weapons”: cutting-edge cyber technologies and its 1.4 billion people.
